Disconnection
A gas connection may be disconnected when dues remain unpaid, safety requirements are not satisfied, unauthorized use is detected, or the consumer requests closure of the service.
Disconnection Procedure
- Consumers should clear billed dues by the due date shown on the latest SNGPL bill.
- If dues remain unpaid, the account may move into recovery and disconnection handling under the applicable company rules.
- Safety-related concerns, meter tampering, or unauthorized use may also trigger action.
- Consumers with an active billing dispute should keep complaint records and receipts ready before follow-up.
Disconnection at the Consumer's Request
Consumers may also request disconnection where the premises is being vacated, rebuilt, or the account is no longer needed. In that case, final billing and account settlement should be completed first.
- Ask SNGPL for the required closure or disconnection request process for your case.
- Keep your latest bill, CNIC, and consumer number ready when filing the request.
- Do not assume the account is closed until the company confirms the disconnection status.
Reconnection
A disconnected premises may be reconnected at the consumer's request after outstanding dues are cleared, technical requirements are satisfied, and the applicable reconnection process is completed.
What Reconnection Usually Requires
- Clearance of outstanding billed dues and any approved charges.
- Verification of consumer identity and account details.
- Technical inspection if the connection has remained inactive or the site condition has changed.
- Payment of reconnection-related charges if applied by the company.
Official Reconnection Channel
SNGPL provides an official consumer reconnection page, which is linked from the homepage resources section. Use that channel or the relevant office guidance instead of relying on informal requests.
Collection of Arrears
Persistent non-payment can complicate reconnection and may delay new service requests tied to the same premises. It is best to resolve outstanding dues and keep payment proof available for follow-up.
